We are relatively new to the market with limited distribution but a company that has generated a lot of buzz from "best new product" awards to one of the products included in the celebrity gift bags at the Grammys.
We are looking to align ourselves with independent fitness and action sports reps around the country.
Our market research has surfaced some very interesting opportunities for fitness specific IPod Nano headgear with "no external wires" that usually interfere with motion and activity.
The research identified more than 42 million Americans over the age of 15 who work out more than an hour a day. The top 5 activities of choice were walking (30.7%), weight training (13.1%), cardio (12.7%), water sports (8.4%), and running (7.4%). Other sports such as cycling, soccer, basketball and football ranged from 5% to 1%.
When you look at what people carry with them during these sporting activities, music is the overwhelming workout partner of choice. Just look around your local gym. In team sports, the athlete is usually carrying their music during their warm-up or conditioning workout times.
From our focus group feedback, those who carry music in their workout prefer not to have “external wires” hanging from their music players if they had a choice.
Our products are the first headwear that eliminates the nuisance of “ear bud wires” that interfere with the dynamic movements in today’s action sports.
