Friction Stir Welding is a new manufacturing process in the US. It is a unique solid state joining process that can replace rivets, fusion welds and traditional bolted structures. In the US it is primarily used in aerospace applications (Space Shuttle, Ares/Orion program, Boeing aviation). Globally, it is a growing market valued at $30 billion annually. It is well established in Europe and Asia in the marine, rail, automotive, transportation, aerospace and container markets. Our company has 18+ years experience in FSW manufacturing and process development. Currently only 3 US manufacturing companies are in this emerging market. Competitive advantage - we have established an exclusive alliance with access to reduced cost FSW license for FSW equipment - reducing overall manufacturing costs. We provide reps with technical support, samples, product & process literature & customer leads.
